ESG Alignment
The Walk for Mental Fitness directly supports the Social pillar by fostering wellbeing, inclusion, and community connection. SRG Global Utilities’ involvement demonstrates genuine care for people — both within the business and the broader community — through open conversations about mental health, supporting psychological safety, and breaking stigma. The partnership with the Clontarf Foundation further extends this by creating opportunities for Indigenous youth and promoting social inclusion through volunteering and engagement.
SDGs: 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)
On Thursday, 9 October 2025, SRG Global Utilities participated in the fourth annual Walk for Mental Fitness at New Farm Park, in support of Urban Utilities and other event sponsors. The event saw an impressive turnout, with over 190 attendees coming together in support of mental health awareness and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health.
Mental health challenges have touched all of us – either personally or through someone we know. A highlight of the event was hearing from guest speaker Willie Tonga, who bravely shared his personal journey with mental health. His vulnerability was felt by everyone present and created a real sense of connection and community.
SRG Global Utilities in partnership with the Clontarf Foundation, hosted a station to highlight the benefits of volunteering and being part of a supportive community. This presentation was followed by a fun and somewhat competitive round of scissors-paper-rock, creating a positive and engaging atmosphere amongst participants.
“It’s inspiring to see companies across the construction industry come together and support one another, encouraging open conversations, and providing the tools and resources that truly make a difference in people’s lives,” said David Crowhurst, National Manager Stakeholder Engagement
