Last week, SRG Global Utilities joined communities across Australia in celebrating NAIDOC Week 2026 (5–12 July) and this year’s theme, “50 Years of Deadly”.
Across our projects and offices, teams took the opportunity to recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, while reflecting on the importance of connection, learning and respect.
In South Australia, the Riverlea 2 and Sandy Creek project teams participated in a NAIDOC Week morning tea hosted by Aboriginal-owned businesses Zancott Traffic and Zancott Recruitment, including a Welcome to Country by Luke Wilson, a proud Kaurna man and Cultural Educator.
NAIDOC Week was also acknowledged in our Pitt Street office in Sydney and Fortitude Valley office in Brisbane, where teams came together to learn more about the significance of the week and its ongoing legacy.
As we mark 50 years of NAIDOC Week, we recognise the important role cultural awareness, meaningful partnerships and engagement with First Nations communities play across our projects and operations. Through our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and ongoing collaboration with Traditional Owners, Indigenous businesses and local communities, we continue to embed these principles into the way we work and deliver projects across Australia.
